    • Who We Are

    My School Connect (MSC) originated in 2013 from the passion of dedicated parents who wanted to continue the idea of a community tuckshop, run by parents and not for profit.
    We understand that the role of parents has significantly changed over time and the idea of volunteering at schools, is becoming more and more difficult. We have become a time poor society, yet we still understand the importance of school community.
    MSC is aimed to make it easier for parents and school staff, to take the everyday duties, such as ordering lunches from the tuckshop, purchasing school uniforms, and fundraising by taking it online, via a simple and easy to use system. This alleviates stress on school staff, handling cash and sorting through multiple hand-written orders and simple for parents to jump online and make orders instantly.
    Founder, Rob saw the opportunity to take the school system online, from the success that eventuated via their online childcare app in 2012. At the childcare, parents were demanding more and more communication, yet didn’t have the time for prolonged meetings or to complete lengthy paperwork. Hence the app was born, eliminating the need for paper and keeping parents happy with instant up to date information about their child. Since moving this model into schools and developing MSC, we have seen significant growth, with the amount of schools using the system doubling every 6 months.
    MSC have invested heavily in the development of these online systems, ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability is world's best practise. MSC have a development team of 2 coders, and 1 server security administrator. The team is led by a technical project manager who has spent the last 20 years in system development and digital workflows.
    Our backgrounds are: Rob is a father of four, all educated through the suburban, small catholic primary school system. 8 years ago, Rob founded and is currently running an extensive childcare business in the bayside region. His background in business and contribution to developing this new frontier has enabled the continual growth and expansion of My School Connect.
    Julia is a mother of three and has over 15 years experience in large multinational institutions, as well as working with two successful online businesses, which has contributed to the governance and establishment of MSC for perpetuity. She has experience as a food operations manager, overseeing a number of food outlets across Australia and an extensive understanding of the Food Safety Regulations and Requirements, which is a great asset for My School Tuckshop.
    The financial commitment has secured the future of MSC and allowed the opportunity for the business to expand into various industries such as online events and community fundraising, giving the public the opportunity to take control of their own administration and fundraising efforts.
